Yoni Egg Diary: Birthing a Conversation with SARK
Last week on Instagram, I had the pleasure of an impromptu and brief interview with the highly acclaimed author, artist, speaker, and teacher – Susan Ariel Rainbow Kennedy (known internationally as SARK)!
Who is SARK?
After decades of sharing her expertise on how to create your own practically magical life through her art, words, and spirit – SARK’s wisdom has touched hearts across the globe and is well-known within healing circles. Her purpose, she shares, is to “be a transformer, uplifter and laser beam of love!”
I was introduced to the wisdom of SARK in the Yoni Empowerment Book Club facilitated by Yoni Grace. Diving deep into Succulent Wild Woman (one of SARK’s 17 bestselling books with millions of copies sold) within a sacred circle of women, each committed to collective healing and sisterhood, has been one my most succulent experiences of 2020!
I must admit, I was NOT expecting the pleasure of a 1-on-1 conversation with SARK only 2 weeks after reading one of her books. She was so down-to-earth and willing to connect that she engaged me first and asked if I had any questions for her. After panicking for about 10 seconds (fan girl moment), I knew that this would be a delight to the women in the book club.
So, I hopped onto our group chat and told my sisters that SARK had reached out to me and was willing to answer questions. I asked for their input and eagerly relayed it back to SARK as a list of 5 questions. Within 36 hours, she wrote me back answering all 5 questions!
My (Unofficial) Interview with SARK
Q: How did you gain the courage to write so many vulnerable, truth-bearing books?
A: By going through terror and receiving a lot of great psychotherapy & inner healing & love.
Q: What role did vulnerability play in your success?
A: Vulnerability was/is everything. I experienced such depths of feeling vulnerable and received such love for sharing it. Most of all, I discovered that in my total vulnerability was/is my true safety and that I experience success as “vulnerability set free”
Q: How are you maintaining your “wild succulence” in today’s era?
A: Wild Succulence is intrinsic to my being and requires daily maintenance in the form of feelings care, connection to my intuition and transformation of critical inner dialogue, and consistent self loving practices.
Q: What has been your most powerful lesson or greatest adventure of 2020?
A: Being in love with myself and my beloved David. The fact that I envisioned this great love after my former fiancé John died in 2016, and that David appeared in 2018 and that in 2020 we are continuing to wildly love life and the world together, as well as ourselves and each other.
My final question for SARK was if she’d like to be a guest on my podcast to which she replied, “Thank you for asking! I am full right now for new interviews- am immersed in writing my new book.” I admire her honesty and willingness to provide such a sweet, but firm NO. I think we can all learn to do this more often!
Meanwhile, SARK’s new and upcoming book is a self-help memoir that is, “both prescriptive and reflective of her own life journey which is personal as well as universal.” She is one of the most vulnerable writers whom I have ever encountered and this new memoir, she says, “goes beyond any of her previous books in depth and dimension.” I know that this will definitely be a treat once it hits shelves!
With my heart full, I thanked SARK for being so generous with her responses. I told her that I couldn’t wait to share them with the women in the book club and wished her happiness on her journey with David. She replied, “You are so welcome & I’m so glad we are connected!”
Yoni Egg Wisdom: What I Learned
LESSON 1
The Yoni is a vastly underestimated source of wisdom and intelligence that is connected on some level to every other Yoni – and they communicate when we align ourselves with our truth. When you express yourself with vulnerability and authenticity, your Yoni becomes like an antenna broadcasting your ‘soul signal‘ to other like minds in an effort to create connection and community.
LESSON 2
Yoni eggs can function as gatekeepers at the beginning stages of your practice by not only granting you access to the deepest parts of yourself but gently guiding you to explore them with an open heart and mind.
I honored my urge to resume my Yoni egg practice after years of a hiatus and it awakened me to a level of self-awareness, clarity, and confidence that I have never before experienced. Desiring to then share such joy with other women as a provider of Yoni eggs, my Yoni wisdom led me to the mentorship and support of Grace Diaz.
Furthermore, I had spent several weeks calling in a group of like-minded sisters with the intention of starting my own Yoni care book club. I didn’t mention it to Grace, but to my delight one day, she announced the start of hers and even chose some of the books that I was already intent upon reading! The synchronicity was a confirmation that I was tapping into a deeper level of my own intuitive womb wisdom so I signed up immediately! The first book we read was Succulent Wild Woman, and two weeks later I found myself casually bantering 1-on-1 with the world-renown author (who I’d never heard of before) on Instagram!
LESSON 3
Although it seems risky at times – be yourself! Speak your truth, love every step of your lifelong dance with possibility, create from your heart, and share with others! As SARK mentions in chapter 24 of Succulent Wild Woman, sharing creatively is important because, “creativity thrives in solitude, not isolation.” You never know who is watching, who might dare to join you, how you might be inspired in a new way, and what you will learn in the process of your own wildness!
Heck! Look at me, I danced with SARK!
